Bosdari Palace or Francesco Podesti Gallery

The Bosdari Palace (Palazzo Bosdari) was the family residence of the Bosdari in the 17th century, while it has been operating as a Gallery since 1963 in the memory of the painter Francesco Podesti, born and raised in Ancona. Podesti became known because of his frescoes that adorn the Immacolata hall of the Vatican Museum.

Apart from Podesti’s works, belonging to the period of romanticism, you can admire works of many artists, of the wider area of Marche from the 14th to the 19th centuries.

If you are interested in more modern painters of Italy, Francesco Podesti Gallery features a specially designed area with some of their most important works.
