The beach of Falassarna is probably the most famous beach of Chania, and for good reason, as it has won the title of the best beach of Crete, as well as a place among Europe’s 10 best beaches. Its secret lies in the fact that it is not just one, but a complex of five beaches, each of them ready to satisfy every visitor!

If you are staying in the town of Chania, you will need to travel about 53 kilometres in order to join this earthly paradise with the sandy beach stretching in kilometres. The beauty of its nature will impress you even before reaching it, as it is already visible from the vicinity of Platanos village. We recommend a short stop there, so that you can capture the unique view.

This is what you’ll see when you arrive at the beach: thin golden sand, crystal clear waters and tropical beauty. Once you’re there, it’s up to you to decide whether you will stay on the organised beach of Pachia Ammos, situated in the middle, isolate yourself at the northern or the southern beach or visit the archaeological site of Ancient Falassarna, located at the edge of the coast.
