Faros Armenistis

The Lighthouse of Armenistis (Faros Armenistis) was built in 1891, following the sinking of an english steamship off the island’s coasts. The Lighthouse became a famous attraction because of its imposing presence and its award-winning mechanism, at the Paris Internationa Expo. Today, this mechanism is kept at the Aegean Maritime Museum, located in downtown Mykonos, at the Tria Pigadia area.

You can also visit the Armenistis area where the Lighthouse is located and enjoy the unique view to the neighbouring island of Tinos.
